A PMP training provider charges for instruction and related services. PMI separately controls the examination, membership, retake and renewal charges. A transparent quote labels each line and never suggests that paying the provider guarantees application approval or certification.
For Canadian buyers, the quote should state CAD or another currency explicitly, whether tax is included and who processes each payment. Exchange-rate estimates should not be presented as fixed Canadian fees.
Confirm the number and eligibility of training hours, delivery method, instructor access, recordings, platform duration, application guidance, practice questions, full simulations, completion record and post-course support. Ask which items are mandatory and which are optional add-ons.
A higher price may provide useful structure and feedback; a lower price may suit an independent learner. Value depends on fit and verified inclusions, not premium language.
A pass guarantee needs complete written eligibility, attendance, study, attempt, claim and remedy terms. “Retake” can mean another course seat rather than payment of a PMI exam fee. Do not infer the benefit from the headline.
Canadian tax credits and tuition receipts depend on provider and learner circumstances. No tax eligibility or T2202 claim should appear until a qualified owner confirms the organization’s status and approved wording. Candidates should obtain appropriate tax advice.
The quote should name the course, cohort or access period, delivery format, instructor if known, tuition, tax, currency, payment schedule, included items and policy links. It should identify any separate PMI charges and the expiry date of the quote.
Compare quotes on one worksheet. If a material inclusion is unclear, ask before paying rather than assuming it matches another provider.
Use one row for every cost category: provider tuition, taxes, PMI membership if chosen, application and examination, learning resources, practice tools, retake contingency, travel or equipment and future renewal. Identify who charges each amount and in which currency. A headline course price is not the total credential budget.
For each provider quote, record eligible instructional hours, live or self-paced format, instructor access, application support, question volume, full simulations, recordings, platform expiry, language, accessibility and post-course support. Link every inclusion to the written offer. If a feature is described verbally, request confirmation before using it in the comparison.
Read the refund, transfer, cancellation, minimum-enrolment and guarantee terms as financial information. Model what happens if work changes, a cohort is postponed or another exam attempt is needed. Treat tax treatment and financing as separate decisions that require current documentation and, where appropriate, professional advice.
Approve the purchase only after eligibility, schedule fit and total cost are clear. Save the quote version, policies and payment record. Recheck PMI-controlled fees in the signed-in account because region, membership, tax and currency can affect the amount presented at checkout.
Compare the offer again at the actual payment step. If the currency, tax, cohort, access period or promised support differs from the approved quote, resolve the discrepancy before completing the transaction.
