PMI
Set requirements, approve applications, audit evidence, deliver the exam and award PMP.
Before enrolment, compare education, unique project months and training status with current PMP rules. A provider can help organize information but cannot approve eligibility. The candidate remains responsible for accurate history and PMI makes the decision.
Discuss the target credential, exam timing, weekly availability, language, accessibility and preferred learning format. Any consultation length, written assessment or advisor qualification must be confirmed rather than assumed.
The enrolment record should state dates or access period, delivery method, eligible hours, instructor, curriculum, platform, materials, practice, support, price, tax and policy links. Provider authorization claims need direct verification.
Do not pay from a summary call alone. The written offer is the shared reference when dates, access or inclusions later need clarification.
Attend or complete the required instructional work and meet any assessment or participation conditions. Keep the completion record, course outline and proof of eligible hours. Ask how missed sessions or expired access affect completion.
Use learning to build project judgement rather than merely collect 35 hours. The current exam integrates people, process and business context across predictive, agile and hybrid situations.
The candidate submits the PMI application using accurate education, experience and training records. Support may improve clarity but cannot write fictional experience or guarantee audit success. If audited, follow the PMI notice.
After acceptance and payment, schedule the exam and complete a measured study plan. Use practice results, error analysis and a full simulation to decide readiness.
PMI provides the official examination result and credential status. A provider should not publish a learner result without permission or count an unverified claim in a pass rate.
PMP holders then enter a three-year cycle requiring 60 PDUs and renewal. Any alumni or PDU support must be described in the original offer if it is part of tuition.
Write the owner beside every major decision. The candidate owns truthful records, preparation, appointment compliance and continuing development. PMI owns eligibility, audits, examination, credential status and renewal rules. The training provider owns the accuracy of its course description, instruction, completion records, support and commercial policies.
This map prevents common misunderstandings. A course completion record can support an education requirement but does not approve an application. Provider guidance can improve a project description but cannot turn routine operations into qualifying experience. A strong practice score can inform readiness but does not guarantee the examination result.
Request a handoff artifact at each transition: eligibility worksheet, final application copy, training completion evidence, written quote, appointment confirmation, practice-readiness record, official result and PDU plan. Store these records together so a question can be traced to the party and source that controls it.
When information conflicts, pause the affected decision and return to the current official source. Ask the provider to correct its own offer, and use PMI support for certification rules. Keep time-sensitive details dated because a responsible process includes updating them rather than treating one answer as permanent.
At the end of each stage, record what was completed, what remains open and which party owns the next action. This keeps application, learning and exam work from disappearing between organizational handoffs.
